Check out what the Blogging public thinks about METRO and the METRO POLICE. There has been a couple of posts on several Blog sites including Blog Houston and METRO's own WriteOn METRO with Mary Sit.
The posts are only the beginning, what is interesting are all the comments. Do not get mad and burn up your key board in engaging what is said. Remember to review your Departmental Policy Manuel first, and make sure you are within the guidelines, if you do decide to comment or respond.
A police officer cannot exercise the same freedom of speech that the public has a right to enjoy. There has been some progress at the Supreme Court with case law, but don't get your hopes up.
Just read the comments and remember FREEDOM of SPEECH is worth protecting and fighting for, whether you agree with what is said.....or not.
